The Executive Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Hon, Rowland Sekibo has lauded the NNPC/NEWCROSSEP JOINT VENTURE for building a four (4) Units Self-contain Guest House in IDAMA COMMUNITY of the Local Government Area.
Speaking during the Commissioning of the Project he called on other Multinational Companies operating within the LGA to emulate such gestures as part of their Cooperate Social Responsibilities to Host Communities.
He particularly thanked the Amayanabo, Chiefs, Youths & the entire Idama People for their peaceful disposition and encouraged them to maintain the cordial relationship with every company working within their communities.
He tasked NNPC/NEWCROSSEP JOINT VENTURE to ensure all GMOU entered with host communities are met at the appropriate time to forestall breakdown of law and order. He also urged the Companies to gainfully employ the Youths and Award Suitable Contracts to our people knowing that we have the technical knowledge and manpower to execute same at best standards.
On arrival Hon. Rowland Sekibo and his entourage paid courtesy visit to H.R.H. KING KARIBO KARIBIYE, OKIO III, TEINYA I. AMANYANABO OF IDAMA/EKULAMA COMMUNITY at his Palace.
Hon. Torukwien Odimabo, CDC Chairman welcomed all guests to Idama Community for such an historic occasion. He said the community has other areas of need but must commend NNPC/NEWCROSSEP JOINT VENTURE for keeping the promise made to Idama People.
